The Foungbesso, Moyango and Viala (FMV) deposits are located in the districts of Touba and Biankouma, 485km North of San Pedro and 633km Northwest of Abidjan. They are among the world’s largest and richest nickel laterite deposits, known for more than 40 years. FMV’s nickel-rich horizons are close to the terrain’s surface rendering the deposits easily accessible and allowing for a straightforward mining process.

CMB’s mining permit covers an area of 66km². The affected land (mines and infrastructure) does not exceed 1.05km²  representing only 1.6% of the total concession.
